Is using the telephone hard for you because of a speech disability?

Now you can get help nationwide from an operator who is specially trained to understand speech disabilities.

Dial 711 and tell the operator you want the "Speech to Speech Relay."

Tell the relay operator the number you want to call.  The operator will dial the number for you and repeat what you say as needed to make sure the person you are calling understands you.  What you say is confidential.

Speech to Speech Relay (STS) is a service mandated by the Federal Communications Commission that enables people with a speech disability to use their own voice or a communication device to make a phone call. All 50 states and District of Columbia are mandated to provide STS by March 1, 2001.
